SESSION: Energy Innovation in Cities: How Cities Lead in Implementing

Sean Pander, Director of Sustainability for the City of Vancouver has been leading energy planning, projects, and policy development for the private and public sectors for over 20 years.  He was the senior energy and climate planner for Vancouver between 2003 and 2011, during which time he established and led the team tasked with implementing energy and green building plans, programs, and policies for the City.  More recently, he oversaw the development of the City's Greenest City 2020 Action Plan and currently leads the City’s Sustainability Support Services team which is responsible for Climate Adaptation Planning; overseeing the greening of City operations; and providing project management and planning support for internal departments leading the Greenest City Plan implementation.
